At 22 years old, Khayshie is in her final year of Law at La Trobe University Bendigo, where she is currently completing her honours thesis. Khayshie is extremely passionate about youth advocacy, multiculturalism and community service.
Khayshie is a Non-Executive Director of Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services and Loddon Campaspe Community Legal Centre. Khayshie is also the Multicultural Ambassador for Bendigo Foodshare and sits on the Bendigo Economic Strategy Steering Committee and the Ambulance Victoria Community Advisory Committee. She has previously served on the Multicultural Youth Network, LEAD Loddon Murray, Young People for Refugees and the National Rural Law and Justice Alliance.
Khayshie was Young Citizen of the Year in 2017 and has been named in the Top 100 Future Leaders of Australia. She is a graduate of the Inaugural Joan Kirner Young and Emerging Women Leaders Program and was named as the Law Student of the Year 2019 across Victoria. Khayshie is currently the Multicultural Youth Commissioner for Victoria and the City of Greater Bendigo Youth Mayor.
