About this Speaker

Sam is an America-born award-winning community advocate, supporter and leader. He has designed and delivered more than 500 sessions online and in-person in rural and urban Australia and Indonesia. Over more than 10 years, he has built community capacity with the Australian Government, Scouts, Centre for Multicultural Youth and more organisations. He speaks fluent Indonesian and is familiar with Muslim culture having lived and worked in-country. His practical experience is balanced with extensive community focused education. Sam is a graduate of RMIT Diploma of Youth Work after completing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at Monash University.
